Quick Start

This guide walks you through setting up PolyX and placing your first trade.

Step 1: Start the Bot

Open Telegram and search for @polyxcopy_bot, or tap PolyX. Send /start to begin.

Step 2: Create Your Wallet

On your first visit, PolyX presents the onboarding screen with two options:
  • Create Wallet — generates a new EVM wallet for you
  • Import Wallet — bring your own wallet by entering a private key
Most users should choose Create Wallet. Your wallet is created instantly and you can optionally give it a name (or type /skip to use the default label).
Once your wallet is ready, you’ll see the Wallet screen with deposit addresses for all supported chains.

Step 3: Deposit Funds

From the wallet detail screen, copy the deposit address for your preferred chain:

Tap on any address to copy it. Send tokens from your external wallet to the displayed address.
Minimum deposit amount is $10 worth of tokens. Deposits below this threshold may not be credited.
Your balance will update automatically. Use the Refresh button on the wallet screen to check.

Step 4: Find a Market

There are two ways to find a Polymarket market: Simply paste any Polymarket event or market URL into the chat. Merlin will automatically display the market with current prices and trading buttons.

Browse from Positions

If you already have positions, navigate to Positions from the main menu and tap into any position to trade more.

Step 5: Place Your First Trade

Once you’re viewing a market, you’ll see buttons for each outcome:
  1. Tap an outcome button (e.g., “YES (45c)”) to start a buy order
  2. Choose an amount — pick a preset (10,10,50, $100) or enter a custom amount
  3. Confirm — the order is submitted and you’ll see a confirmation message
That’s it! Your position will appear in the Positions screen. You can track P&L, set limit orders, or sell at any time.
